I love to work with children of any age. I have been volunteering for over 15 years helping wherever and whenever I can to help make the lives of children more enriched. I have two boys of my own (age 10 and 14) and have been successful in helping them achieve the best they can. I have been teaching kids as a substitute for many years and went back to school in my middle 30's to become a teacher. Unfortunately the availability of teaching positions in my area has prevented me from full time employment but I've kept myself busy subbing and working with young adults and those with disabilities further their educational needs.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a teacher and tutor for over 15 years, specifically in private schools. The first student I tutored (as an elementary student) has graduated from dental school and has his own practice! My background in science and math, as well as human psychology, enables me not only to teach the curriculum, but also to understand those academic areas which are common roadblocks to many students. I am motivated to bring knowledge, model tenacity and give hope to my students. I have worked as a course assistant, grading homeworks and tutoring students, in Calculus I for four semesters. Teaching is such a rewarding experience. It is an amazing feeling when you help a student learn something that they previously had been struggling with. My goal is to help the student by becoming interested in the material. If the student is interested in the material, they will have a better chance of learning it.
