Repetition is good for learning; therefore, the use of various teaching methods are employed in order to maximize the information retained and learned by the individual student. My teaching style is very hands-on. I believe in practical knowledge and showing students several different ways to understand something. I also believe in providing students the opportunity to figure out solutions to problems on their own with encouragement, instead of just having them copy what I say. Prior to my relocation to the Jacksonville, Florida area I had completed my undergraduate degree and was working toward my Masters in Education for Middle School. During this period, I interned at a middle school and had worked as a substitute teacher. I have also worked in management and training.

As a graduate of Jacksonville University, I feel I received an excellent education and want to give back to the community. There is not enough emphasis placed on education as it was during my growing up years. I fear that the focus has turned and it is centered on sports not academics.
