My teaching style is very different, but I love being able to differentiate my lessons to best suit my students. I do believe that all children have different learning styles, so when I deliver instruction, I try to combine the types of styles and incorporate kinesthetic activities for the students to visually see and have that hands on experience. I believe repetition helps children to learn and grasp instruction as well. Through repetition and correct delivery, the student will be able to remember and recall the facts they need in order to succeed in those areas of academics. Teaching is always a learning process. My teaching style centers around listening and observing the child as an individual to determine his or her needs and style of learning. Not everyone learns in the same manner, therefore in order for each child to meet his potential in the classroom, especially a child that struggles, a unique plan may have to be devised.
For the past eight years I have run a small business from my home and have been a substitute teacher, grades K-12 in Duval Co. since 2003. I have enjoyed teaching and have often taught ESE students and totally mentally disabled students. These children are often the most rewarding to teach due to their higher need and receptiveness. A Little Bit About Me...

I have found that the best way to teach is to be flexible, understand your student(s), and find out what will work best for them. Some students need more 'hands on' math and science projects, some students express themselves best through art and/or oratory, and then of course there are the readers and writers. I have learned through my professional trainings and experiences that there are ways to reach and, more importantly, expand each person's capacity to learn by allowing the best expression of their talents and abilities.
