Native Taiwanese fluent in Traditional Mandarin Chinese and English. Licensed RN (California) I have recently completed the basic Teaching Chinese as a second language at the Mandarin Chinese Daily News Language Center In Taipei , Taiwan. The MDN. ( http://www.mdnkids.com/english_hp/index.asp) uses Traditional Chinese teaching methods without any English. Children begin learning Mandarin Chinese exactly like elementary school students in Taiwan. Using these methods children will think, speak, read and write in Traditional Chinese. We have books and materials from Taiwan to use along with support from the Language Center in Taipei. Traditional Chinese is superior to Simplified Chinese used in Mainland China and they are slowly converting to this method.

While I was attending classes at Florida Community College in Jacksonville (FCCJ), I worked as tutor at their learning center. I choose to be a physics tutor because I enjoy tutoring science and Physics is my favorite subject. Due to shortage of man power, I also help tutor mathematic such as College Algebra and Calculus, and aided students who need help with computer programming such as C++. I have been tutoring in FCCJ for 2 years till I obtained my A.A.Degree.

From my experience with my own education and in tutoring others, I realize that there is no such thing and an ignorant child. Rather, a successful student is a hard worker who often times needs a little guidance and patience. Because I am an easy-going and flexible person, I am able to connect to the child in fun and interesting ways. I try to use the same teaching techniques that helped me like flash cards, games, and better study skills. Frequently, I find that slowing down the curriculum and focusing on problem areas allow students to successfully grasp the subject matter.
