I served in the US Army Reserves as a JAG Officer; and provided instruction and counsel to many young soldiers. I was employed as an elementary school Teacher's Assistant; and have frequently volunteered as a classroom assistant and tutor.

My teaching experience was at the college level: • as a graduate assistant at Northern Illinois University • as a full time member of the faculty at Morton College • as a graduate assistant (Doctoral program) University of Washington I hold a BS and an MS in Accounting from Northern Illinois University, I took the CPA exam in the Spring 1968 and passed all parts on the first attempt, and I hold an MBA from the University of Washington. My Master’s Thesis was a study on how well community college transfers faired academically when compared to students that had all four years in the program. The conclusion was the community college transfers did just as well as those attending the full four years at NIU.
