A Little Bit About Me...

During college I had the opportunity to tutor while going to school. In our Math lab I was able to tutor one on one, as well as a in a group setting. On top of my tutoring experience in college I had the chance to take a class on how to help people develop study skills. Along with tutoring for a few semesters, I ahve recieved a BA degree in Math. I student taught Algebra and Geometry and am currently teaching Pre-Algebra and Algebra courses for Burley High School.
Teaching is my passion. I started to realize this while helping classmates as early as middle school and have carried that drive with me through college and my teaching experiences so far. I will be honest, I did not graduate High School, but have had the privilege of homeschooling my son since Kindergarten. I am still homeschooling my son through Idaho Virtual Academy and will continue to do, because I have learned to teach him with the school, I have learned to tutor him in all areas of his studies. I did work for a season with the Wellton Elementary School in Wellton Az as a Seasonal Testing Teacher, administering reading and word tests to Student of all ages.

I have always loved being around kids. I care about there well being and knowing that im someone they can look up to. I have loads of patience with them which was much needed with some of the children I had to take care of. When I was growing up I had a younger brother who had problems in school due to his disabilities, so after seeing him struggle so much, it gave me the urge to help others who dont understand things quite as easliy. I want them to have confidence in themselves and to never give up on any trial that may come their way.

A Little Bit About Me...

Everyone has different learning styles and a teacher/tutor needs to figure out what learning style the student has in order to help them reach their highest potential. It is important to understand that some learn by hearing while others learn by seeing and doing. I love to help people learn and grow. I am patient and easy going but will help the students understand the concept as well as have fun.
I have a bachelors degree in business administration and an associates degree in health administration. I have had experience teaching preschoolers and help my own children at home. They are currently in 2nd, 4th, and 6th grades. I enjoy learning and had a 3.6 GPA when I finished my bachelors degree. I do very well in writing research papers. My schooling was online so I have a great deal of experience writing papers.
