My teaching style is simply and varies from student to student. I am a visual learner, once I see an example done; I try to use what I’ve learned to solve a similar problem. Some people don't learn that way, I try to pick up on the student’s best learning style (whether it’s by doing example problems, talking them out, or guiding them through their own examples) I can focus my help to try to suit them. I recently spent my final year in college employed by Ohio University as a tutor for athletes. I was paired with a young wrestler and my duties were to help him with all aspects of his studies. We covered courses including mathematics, finance, and economics. We generally met from four to six hours per week. Personally, I have earned degrees in mathematics with a concentration in actuarial science, as well as a degree in finance. I am an expert in calculus, statistics, and probability.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently received by BS degree in Chemistry from the University of Dayton. As a chemistry student, I tutored fellow college students in Chemistry, Physics, and Calculus. I frequently held Drop-In tutoring with the school's LEAD program. In addition, I would also do One-on-One tutoring when needed.
I love tutoring, as it helps me keep up-to-date with the material, and I enjoy seeing someone finally grasp a concept they had struggled with previously. I typically help a student by example, if applicable. In math courses, I find that working through problems with the student is best. For science courses, going over concepts in the chapters before doing problems works best. I also help the student take better notes in class and take better notes when reading the chapter.
