My teaching style is simply and varies from student to student. I am a visual learner, once I see an example done; I try to use what I’ve learned to solve a similar problem. When I tutor, I let the student come to me with the problem, and instead of doing it for them, I will break it down into smaller steps they can do. I love tutoring, as it helps me keep up-to-date with the material, and I enjoy seeing someone finally grasp a concept they had struggled with previously. I typically help a student by example, if applicable. In math courses, I find that working through problems with the student is best. For science courses, going over concepts in the chapters before doing problems works best. I also help the student take better notes in class and take better notes when reading the chapter.
