I tutored Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Biology and Chemistry while I was pursuing both of my degrees. Not only was I a tutor, but I also sought tutoring for myself! I feel that tutorial sessions can help students get a better understanding of a subject outside of daily classroom lectures. The student gets that one on one time that they may not always receive in a classroom. Each student has a different degree of learning and that's what makes us all unique. I have been tutoring in various math, elementary, and Spanish areas for 13 years. I have tutored students from elementary school age to adults. I have also tutored students all over the US and in other coutries. I have listed all the areas that I am comfortable tutoring. I am willing to teach in a library, in the student's home, on-line, or in another area that is agreed upon by both myself and the parent. I am open to group sessions, this would require me booking a meeting room in a library, or another location. On-line is preferred if possible to reduce travel time(s), this would also allow me to assist more students in a more efficient way. My teaching style varies by person, because not everyone learns the same way. I adapt my teaching style to the learning style of the person.

I worked at Elohim Center tutoring the kids at an after school homework center in Hartsville, SC. I also worked at Hartsville School of Performing Arts for a short time period. However I provided assistance to the teachers and mentored the children that had potential, but didn't have the extra push in life to motivate them to be more. I worked at Billie Hardee Home for Boys in Darlington, SC as a volunteer I provided teen age boys the assistance in tutoring them with math, reading, and science. I have earned a BA in Criminology and an Associates in Sociology. As a soldier helping people is not a job or a career, it's my choice in life to give and be rewarded through the final product of a completed task.
