A Little Bit About Me...

As a recent graduate of West Virginia State University, I am very focused on helping children learn to be successful students and productive citizens. I am an Elementary Education major and I have been working with children since I was 15 years old. I have been a swimming, gymnastics, cheerleading and dance coach for many years. However, as much as I believe in children being active, I believe they must put academics first. When I work with children I like to make learning relevant to their life and I like to present it in a way that helps them to best comprehend the material. I feel that I am well prepared to work with children and I can help provide a solid foundation for learning.

I enjoy working with children because they have such a capacity to learn and I love seeing the joy when they learn somthing new. I believe in taking your time and being thorough. I understand that some things take more time to learn, that just makes it even more rewarding when they finally get the concept.
