I have always wanted to become a teacher, it is the most rewarding job! The best part of my experience is watching students finally get something I had been working with them on. It is great to see how excited they are when they finally see how all their hard work has paid off. I began my work, with youth, in 1983 when I worked with incarcerated youth at the Highland Youth Center in upstate NY. I later taught high school social studies at Mount Vernon, HS in Mount Vernon, NY where I also tutored after school.
