I have a myriad of experience in tutoring; however, my specialty is English and writing. I am a Certified Behavior Therapist in the state of Florida, with a bachelor's in psychology. I am currently working on a dual master's in mental health counseling and addictions. In a few months I will begin my Ph.D. I am extremely knowledgeable in APA mechanics. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching children and young adults. I understand how to connect with people on a level on which they feel comfortable. I take the time to get to know the children so that I can teach them in the ways that will best suit them. I tend to be a creative teacher - I enjoy hands-on activities. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a degree in Criminal Justice. I have always been a good student. I have never directly taught children, but I have 2 kids who I help everyday with their homework and they are in junior high and are in all advanced classes. Since I feel that I am a great motivator and know how to study for certain things, I show my kids the encouragement they need and now I feel I can offer this to other kids as well. I have great grammer skills and can help with studying as well.

When a student is positive and feels that sense of pride; he will open himself up more to the idea of learning. Secondly, I will always do readings and visuals to stimulate both areas of the brain to ensure it is absorbed. I rely heavily on Socratic questioning, to strengthen the students own thinking; my goal is for him/her to not need me. I use symbol and concept imagery language to ensure the student is not simply repeating, but seeing and understanding.
