I read to my child every night from when hwas age 1 through 8 years old. I read aloud in front of the class (60 students) when I was in my Spanish and English classes in high school. I have limited experience in tutoring. The experiences include tutoring student nurses in the clinical facilities and in the Fundamentals of Nursing. When I worked with the students in the facilities, I would always demonstrate an organized way of assessing a patient from head-to-toe. I would ask a patient to agree to this procedure. I explained exactly what I would be doing. I emphasized that all the clinical students (males and females) would be watching and asking me questions. I would then type up (document) the findings and give each student a copy. However best the student learns. I believe in "hands-on" whenever this is feasible.
