I tutored college math for two years while I was attending community college. I normally helped athletes prepare for a test, help with online homework, and assess their knowledge by providing other problems for them to work out and check behind them. I also tutored man in the math section of the ASVAB back in the summer of 2012.
I like to have one on one tutoring sessions free from any distractions in order for the student to pay more attention. I try to find videos and tutorials that may better help demonstrate how to work problems on top of how I teach it myself.

My comments on tutoring Algebra : I have tutored Algebra 1 for over 1 year. I

I believe every student has their method of approaching a problem. From my past sessions with others, I became familiar with connecting with the students' needs and trying methods that they feel most comfortable with. Because I am so familiar with what parts of a subject usually give students the most trouble, I provide tips and reminders throughout my sessions which will help them fill in the gaps here and there. I began tutoring when I was a Jr. in high school. I tutored a variety of subjects for grades 5 through 8 during my last two years of high school. During my freshman year of college I tutored a classmate in English Composition I.
