I have a passion for learning as well as sharing my knowledge with others. I obtained a BA in Mathematics and am currently working on MAT in Mathematics. While in college I was part of a tutoring/mentoring program and helped my peers with math. I also had an opportunity to prepare high school students for the Alabama Grad Exam during a summer session with the Upward Bound Program. I currently help children in my community with any problems they may face in mathematics.
Teaching has been a desire of mine since I taught math at a local high school for two years. As a graduate student, I tutored minority engineering students in chemistry, physics, and math at California State University in Northridge, CA. I also privately tutored students at the same time. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a people person and love to meet new people. I think this helps me in my ways of teaching math. I like to understand how the person learns. That's the beautiful thing about math there are so many ways to learn. After understanding the person it is very easy to teach them. Once the person is comfortable and understand that math isn't hard it is smooth sailing from there.
I started tutoring when I was in high school. I have always been good in math. After high school I tutored students in my class and also students in high school. I attended Central Alabama Community College and before going to Troy I helped teach a pre-cal based physics class. Even since I've graduated from Troy I have help tutor younger students. I get great joy by doing this.
