A Little Bit About Me...

Over the course of my career, I have taught a wide variety of courses for age groups K-12 which include: English, math, history, geography and English as a second language. I am quite comfortable with classes of different sizes, at different levels, and with various teaching styles. I incorporate the tactile, visual and auditory teaching methods. I have also taught adults to read in the adult literacy programs at many libraries. Some believe classes should be teacher-centered, where the teacher is expert and authority in presenting information. Others take a learner-centered approach, viewing their role as more of a facilitor of student learning. I do both.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style includes using visuals such as writing on a dry erase board and Powerpoint. I have a great sense of humor but I can firm when I have to be. I am patient and caring and seem to have an intuitive ability to know what the student needs the most.
I have over 25 years experience as a hospital (CFO) Chief Financial Officer. My educational experience includes: teaching high school, teaching college and tutoring elementary and junior high school. I hold a PhD in Financial Management. I have taught English, math, Spanish, accounting, money and banking, investments, human resource management. A Little Bit About Me...

I thoroughly enjoy working and education children. Whether it is on the basketball court or in the classroom, teaching children how to succeed and learn has always been a passion of mine. While each student has his or her own way of learning new material, there are several components of teaching that can aide in this process.
