With every management position that I have had (Controller, Finance Director, VP of Finance), I have had to train assistants along with other accounting office personnel. The level of experience would exceed 25 years.
I believe in working aside the individual, explain a task to them, and let them do the work. I would offer assistance when asked or when I saw a problem. I have a BS degree in Business Administration with a Finance concentration. I am also currently working on a Masters in Finance at a private university. I have tutored some students for a few years at the Junior College level. I also owned and operated a business for 8 years and handled all the accounting and finance for it.
