My comments on tutoring Accounting : I have a Masters of Accounting Degree. I currently teach accounting at the Milgard School of Business at the University of Washington Tacoma.

I have both a Bachelors and Masters of Accounting degree. I have worked for a tax accounting firm in Renton, Wa. I currently teach financial accounting at the University of Washington Tacoma. I have tutored students before and they have informed me that I really made a difference in their test performance.
I make an attempt to find what works for each individual. I attempt to use real world examples that individuals can relate to. I sometimes use mnemonics to aid in the memorization process.

Interactive--listening to and learning from student to determine "where they're at". Then, posing questions to enable them to find their own beginning/solution/answers. If session doesn't find a promising beginning, start from a base and progress with them. Interaction prevents or indicates "going too fast" or overwhelming them--"the eyes" are engaged or indicate "shut-down". Making the math or education "mean something" provides a reason for learning or further developing the concepts. Encouragement and sincere compliments are very important. Sharing your own struggles or an "ah-huh" moment helps ease the role differences toward a comfortable, encouraging, learning relationship.

I have twenty-five years of experience teaching religious subject matter(and the Bible)in smaller church settings. I have both a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree, and am in the process of completing a professional Doctorate at a local seminary. I have also had the opportunity to teach a graduate level seminary class. A Little Bit About Me...

I love helping and teaching children. I have given riding lessons to all ages of children for years, realizing there is no better feeling than helping children accomplish their goals. I would love to help children in any way I can to meet their academic goals, I know what it is like to have to study hard for what you want to accomplish. I grew up in Cameroon, a former colony of France and Great Britain. French is the official language so, learning the language was critical to complete my education. I earned a BA in Business Administration and went to France to complete some courses in Accounting. My passion for sharing knowledge led me to teaching after my BA in Business. I thought high school students at Institut Samba, a private school in Cameroon, for 3 years. I always have at least one student I am tutoring; this is either in French or Accounting.
