My college experience was unique to the learning community. Instead of theorizing and contemplating what lives the subjects we studied were living, we lived amongst those most only read about. In addition to traditional bouts of homework and exams I lived in the homes and attended their schools. The philosophy, language and religions they lived became our texts.
