As of 2013, I have a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Bowling Green State University. In addition to my academic achievements, I have worked at Bowling Green State University as an instructor of composition and creative writing. I taught both the Introduction to Academic Writing and the more advanced Academic Writing courses, as well as an undergraduate creative writing workshop. I have an associate degree in Digital Media and a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design. I have recently graduated from my BS program from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a 3.44 GPA. Although, I have never been in charge of my own class room I consider my teaching style energetic. I love working with students of all ages and find that teaching methods and styles tend to adapt to those individual students. I think it is important to be encouraging and patient with all students. I believe in a hand on approach where students learn from experiences and doing rather than being lectured. As an educator it is my job to get students involved in their own learning and excited about the knowledge that will shape their futures.
