I tutored at the local elementary school for two summers straigth and absolutely loved it. Children are a joy to work with becuase they are eager to learn. I feel that if you make it interesting for a child then their learning experience becomes something that they won't forget.
After I graduated high school I went to a community college just to get the feel of college. I decided to major in speech because I was interested in correct speech. Not only how words were pronounced but also what mechanisms that are used to produce correct speech. I went on to Delta State University to pursue my Bachelor's in Speech and Hearing, and might I add they had a spectacular program. I learned a lot more than what makes a person have a speech disorder.

I'm an assertive motivator. Learning should not be repulsive, children love to learn by examples that they can relate to. I find the opportunity to combine the likes and dislikes of the student and mold them into a constructive solution. Using metaphors and similes are more of my specialties. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a teacher for the past five years. I have taught Language Arts and History. For the past two years I have taught 7th and 8th grade, but I have also taught 9th and 5th grade. Outside of my career, I have tutored my own children, currently ages 11 and 9.I have also been an Intervention Coach and tutor. I excell at individual and small group tutoring.
