ASVAB, TEAS, PRAXIS Math; NVCC Placement Test;

I have over five years tutoring asvab students. I can help you with asvab math formulas and difficult problems. The best way to improve your score is to get a tutor, take a lot of tests and give yourself enough time to study and learn different techniques. I can help you developed your best learning style so you can do well in the asvab. Thank you.
The ASVAB AR is made up of only about 15 major types of problems. 90% require you to know the formula to solve the problem. For example a PERCENTAGE PROBLEM Is usually solved using this formula: % / 100 = Part / Whole. You can plug- in the values and solve for the missing "x". I can give you ALL of the formulas you will need on the Arithmetic Knowledge Section. We also review techniques for excelling on the PC, MK and WK sections of the ASVAB.

More About This Tutor...

I always look forward to tutoring new people becuase I not only get to make a difference in their life by helping them master what they're struggling with, but I also get to learn about people and different learning styles. I view tutoring as a way to help others while improving my interpersonal skills. I value all the skills I gain from tutoring because they will be assets when I become a physician. Working with all ages from kindergarten to college has taught me patience and how to conform to different people's needs.
I graduated from Vanderbilt University in May 2010, and I am currently applying to medical school. In high school and college, I tutored in math, science, English, and test prep. A Little Bit About Me...

I have an undergraduate degree (BS) in Biology and a graduate degree (PhD) in Physiology. I have experience as a Professor of Anatomy in Graduate Physical Therapy curriculum. I have taught Anatomy and Physiology and to students from elementary school to graduate medical studies. I have most of my teaching years teaching Allied Health Students at the community college level.
I believe that much of the difficulty in learning Science is that people try to learn a series of facts rather than a story. It is difficult to do well when a student is dependent on his/her ability to recall from extensive facts where no understanding of the interrelationship is appreciated. I believe scientific conversation regarding seemingly complex subjects can serve to demystify the material. Humor often helps in this. I have worked extensively with students who know the material yet can’t test well fo ... read more
