Ready to love learning

Adaptive. I have a background in experiential education and believe that the method is not as important as the end result of having assimilated, understood, and taught back the information. I believe in creative learning techniques and hope to inspire a love of learning alongside the discipline of learning itself.
I currently work as a substitute teacher at Riverside Military Academy. I've worked with elementary children and teenagers extensively. My most recent position serves twenty and thirty somethings in their personal and spiritual formation. I have published my writing, acted on stage, spoken before thousands and mentored dozens. Vocals is one of my top subjects!

I Graduated from Harrison high school in 2011, and I am currently working to get my bachelors in biology at Kennesaw State University. I have been tutoring neighbors in science, math, and vocals since my sophomore year of high school. I have been given many small awards by my school teachers in Science, math, and Vocals.
I use a lay back positive reinforcement teaching style. I try to figure out things the student likes and relate it to the subject. My main goal is to get the student to like the subject and enjoy learning about it, for if the student enjoys a subject it will be easier for them to learn.

A Little Bit About Me...

I've been teaching and performing music professionally for over 10 years. Since receiving my degree, I've taught chorus, currently teach private lessons, and provided music services for churches in both NC and GA. I have taken music education workshops for several years, had Graduate Assistant experience in the music history and opera during Graduate School classes, and currently perform for educational programs in GA.
My teaching style goes from both pedagogy to description. Once I understand the knowledge of the student, I speak to them on the level of what they know, depending on the age.
