Once I graduated I was immediately hired as a long term substitute teacher in South Georgia. I wasn't offered a teaching job for the next school year so I moved here to Spartanburg, SC. I obtained a job at a headstart and a tutoring facility.Then in November 2012 I was hired on at SC School for the Deaf and the Blind. I have taught and tutored many students and adults in a variety of subjects. I enjoy tutoring in math the most because I love this subject. Although this is my favorite, I still enjoy helping people excel in troubling subject areas. As a teacher, I know that each student/ person learns in a different manner. Due to this my teaching methods vary with every person.

I sincerely believe that reading is the role to true freedom. Reading opens the doors to knowledge from books and the internet. It is the key to learning. My professional experience has expanded from Bookkeeper, Researcher, to Assistant Crew Leader for Census 2000. At home I have home schooled two daughters. I have helped two grandsons get ready for school and also prepare for their new school year during the summer break. Worked in the field of Medical technology for many years. Taught junior staff and check work for completeness and accuracy. I have studied biology, chemistry and writting. I was instrumental in helping other, particulary doctors in making a correct diagnosis of patients by preforming test and documenting data and explaining results to medical personnel to make a proper diagnosis of patients. Also help in determing what drugs was best to prescribe. I am easy to get along with and very patient when showing others new ways of learning. I believe in helping others to use their creative skills to resolve matters. I like to see student excell and compete.

As a Georgia Southwestern State University Graduate, I was able to obtain many opportunities to work with students of different grade levels and developmental levels. I have a BA in Early Childhood Education and have experience with many different grade levels. I had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of 2nd grade students during student teaching. I also had the opportunity to tutor two elementary students during a summer program through Georgia Southwestern. I know I have the skills needed to be an excellent tutor.
