I have tutored for Acers tutoring in Orlando for a full year. I have full experience with teaching reading and writing, as well as somer lower level algebra and mathematic skills. The kids have ranged from ages 8-14. As well, I have been giving guitar lessons to kids between the ages of 10-14. The children have all been able to pick up quickly, and being a song writer, I encourage the kids to seek full creativity in their music and learning. Great lessons made fun!

I lived in Brazil and taught English to Brazilians. I also taught Portuguese to Americans who were living in Brazil. When I moved back to the US, I started teaching English to Brazilians and to Spanish speakers. I was certified buy two different schools in Brazil and a course taken and passed in Miami, FL.
I use common phrases to start and then continue with common verbs and increase the vocabulary with common everyday words. I use my fun, outgoing personality to make sure that the lessons are not only fun but also stick in he mind for maximum retention of each lesson.

Learning spanish in an untraditional fun way!

I have been a spanish tutor on high School level for 2 years and I also tutored spanish for adults on and off for more than 2 years. I tutored people on different levels, also people with no experiance as well as people with a little more spanish knowledge. I studied spanish in Spain and had a great experiance with an amazing teacher. Looking forward to help people learning spanish again in a fun way like I did.

My comments on tutoring Reading : English has been the subject I have taught for the last three years. As an ESL teacher, I not only have to theach all aspects of English, but I have to adapt my teaching methods to the lower understanding of my students. Since I also have to teach reading to my students, I must teach such things as letter and word recognition. I must make the printed word as understandable as the spoken word.

I extensively use music, video, flashcards and activities to make my clases fun and interesting. Discussion, and even newspaper articles can be supplemented as class materials. Classes are tailored to fit the needs and level of the student. I always keep my classes upbeat and moving forward. The proper amoount of review is mixed into the new material so everything remains fresh, not forgotten.

My comments on tutoring Reading : I am a Reading Specialist at a local private school K-12.

This depends on the student. I can teach verbally for students who are auditory learners, visually for student who are visual learners, and kinesthetically for students who are kinesthetic learners. I know that every student can learn, it just depends on finding the specific learning style for that student.
I have been working as a teacher for three years now.
