Just as everyone has their own learning style, teachers have their own teaching style. I see my style as more hands on. When I create lesson plans, I like to think outside the box and find ways that motivate students in connection to their interests. July 2011 I graduated from University of West Georgia in Carrollton with a B.S. in Middle Grades Education. I began substituting for the Heard County School System in August 2011. Even before attaining my degree in English from Jacksonville State University I was passionate about all forms of teaching. I have over a year of experience tutoring college students at Jacksonville State University's Academic Center for Excellence and immediately following that nearly another year of experience tutoring dyslexic youths at the Dyslexia Clinic in Oxford, AL. I have experience tutoring biology, english, french, physcohology, and a variety of art and history classes. As a person I have always held my work ethic to remarkable standards. I've finished an Associate's Degree in two years flat, and am well on my way to having completed a bachelor's in only three and a half years time. Along my studies I have worked to support myself, as well as bring others up in my wake, tutoring colleagues and counseling those in need of a friend, and I have challenged myself, being one of few to attend the first ever Honors English course at Gordon College, and coming out with an A+.
