As I graduated from Corning Community College in Early Childhood Education, I instantly started work as a teacher's aide in the school district of Watkins Glen as well as Odessa. I worked with the children for a year, then i married and moved to Watertown N.Y and became so involved that i began working with special needs children. I did that for sometime till i had surgery. I recently moved back to the area and would love to work with children again. My degree in Associate Of Science. I graduated from Mansfield University with a BS degree in Elementary Education with honors. I taught a temporary position in third grade (all subject areas), then was asked by the school superintendent to substitute teach in Junior and Senior High School, and Special Education classes, which I did for four more years before I had to move out-of-state for my ex-husband's job. I just spent the last 15 years working for the NYS Dept. of Corrections in many areas. I like to motivate with stories and interactive discussion. Most of my teaching involves drawing out someone's talents and inspiring them to reach for something better in themselves. A Little Bit About Me...

I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. Visual tasks, memory games, and hands-on-learning are, in my opinion, the best way to help someone truly learn (versus rote memory).
