My comments on tutoring ACT : I would like to post the disclaimer that I have not taken the ACT myself - I'm an SAT child! However, in high school I did study extensively for both exams, and retain much of my knowledge about how this exam works. In tutoring for the ACT, I offer strategies for optimizing time management on the exam, and getting the most out of the questions posed. At the teaching center, the focus was to help guide the student to get the correct answer and not just give the answer. Sometimes the thinking process to achieving the correct answer is more important than the answer itself. I also try using diagrams and figures when they are called for to explain some of the topics.
