I work diligently to ensure that I am very versatile when tutoring as I believe students learn differently. I am very polite and patient when assisting a student who is struggling in getting a concept. When applicable, I try to make learning a fun and enjoy applying learned material to the student’s life. I enjoy assisting students in reaching their goals, and feel all students can learn. A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with children from preschool-12th grade both professionally and personally. I get along well with children, and try to hone in on a child's personality and how they learn best. (Visual, Learning by doing, Verbal) I also try to see what issues the child is having problems with - that could be not understanding what is required, or not having mastered certain skills that are necesary to build on to obtain the next level of achievement. I love to motivate and usually bring a reward to students - gum, temporary tattoos, or a cool pen or pencil.

I have earned a BSE from Missouri Baptist University in education and hold a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate. My training at Missouri Baptist University has been supplemented with observations, field experiences, and student teaching which I completed at Kingston Elementary, Vineland Elementary, and Athena Elementary. I have also earned two associate degrees; AA in Education from Jefferson College and an AS in Interior Design from Patricia Stevens College.
