In addition to currently being a substitute teacher for the Missouri State Schools teaching a variety of subjects, I have tutored elementary students in all subjects for one year. Through another employer, I worked closely with two students to improve grade performance in writing and math. Also, I have worked as a group facilitator for about six months where I taught adults basic living skills and tutored them to help them obtain a G.E.D.
I work diligently to ensure that I am very versatile when tutoring as I believe students learn differently. I am currently a graduate student in a Clinical Counseling Program. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 2002 with a 3.89 GPA, my current graduate GPA is 4.0. I have previously worked as a Substitute Teacher and Remedial Reading Tutor for fifth and sixth graders while in college. I have worked as a Sunday School Teacher and Youth Pastor for teenagers. I have ten years of public speaking experience and excellent communication skills. My writing skills are excellent and could work with students on a variety of issues concerning reading/writing.
