A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that all children have the capability to learn if someone is willing to be patient and work with them. I enjoy having fun with youth while learning and teaching those I work with the value of what they are learning. I work well with all age groups and am willing to put in the time necessary to ensure students can reach their full potential.
I graduated with a degree in Physical Science Education, which gives me a strong background in Physical Sciences and in math. I have worked with children and youth of all age levels and nearly every ability. I have been teaching for over 20 years. During those teaching years, I had the opportunity to expand my knowledge in the sciences by attending various fellowships and workshops during the summers. I also had the opportunity to work in industry for 2 years, so I got the experience of that to bring back into the classroom.
Every class is different, so your approach has to match that class. So, how you teach in one class is nothing as you would teach in another. I try to get the students involved. I try to get them to see the whole picture.

I was Director of Education for two years and then served as Superintendent of Schools for two districts for a total of 15 years. During that time I never lost connection with teaching, mentoring students from all levels of education and continued to teach in the classroom at least once a week.
