Florida Writes Tutoring
The Florida Writing Assessment was implemented in grades 4, 8, and 10 as required by a law passed by the 1990 legislature. Does your student need a tutor? The best way to teach writing is to engage students in the writing process. This recursive process includes planning, writing, revising, and editing.
As students become more proficient, the amount of time spent on each step in the process may shorten, and the necessity for teacher involvement should lessen.
