Experience Summary
I excelled as a 'teaching' team leader as a student of the Business Management program at the University of Phoenix. I earned my bachelor's degree graduating with a 3.45 GPA. While taking the lead on team-based assignments, I developed a passion for teaching. Assisting others in creating persuasive essays, attention-gripping novels and intellectually researched term papers became a challenge I learned to embrace and enjoy. I tutored many fellow students during my college career in grammar, creative writing, language arts and English. I have also as a boy scout den mother, tutored elementary students in English, writing-styles, grammar, future-career research counseling, Microsoft software basics and computer keyboarding.
Teaching Style
I do enjoy teaching and learning with elementary level children. I like to teach interactively asking students questions about the material covered during each educational session. The interactive style enables me to learn more about each students learning style. As much as possible, I try to tailor my teaching technique to a method that works best for the student.
