Praxis Exam is one of my top subjects! Have successfully passed various praxis testing; Have tutored my daughter whom has passed the 1st time on her PA testing for teaching.

I have been working with the education field for 13 years. I have primarily worked in special education which has given the unique experience o teaching or co-teaching all subject areas. I am currently the special education coordinator a charter school in Philadelphia. Prior to working in Philadelphia, I taught social studies, math, English and GED preparation for adults. I can simplify the class instruction and teach any subject area. Other experience include working as a dean of students, and various other leadership roles.

My teaching style is one in which I find ways to relate content to the students' everyday lives. I like to balance textbook knowledge with practical applications and cultural relevance. I also am a firm believer in planning lessons that require higher order thinking skills yet do not become overwhelming. I believe that all children learn differently, so an effective teacher must adapt the message to reach all students In a class. In my classroom I teach using lessons that incorporate VATK (visual, auditory, tactile-kinesthetic)methods to teach the way my diverse students learn. For reading and mathematics test preparation, the methods used at my school have 100% of our students scoring proficient or above grade level on PSSA tests.
