Business student at Florida Atlantic University. I graduated from A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts with honors in the visual arts, specializing in Architecture and Mathematics. I have also tutored for 4 years now while in school by teaching a wide variety of subjects to students from the ages of 5-20.
I use a Reciprocal/Practice based tutoring style. This an effective method because it allows me to interact with the student and help them grow more efficiently while holding an open discussion environment in each lesson. I then reinforce it with practice based assignments which are followed up with reviews in the beginning of the following class. This makes the student not only memorize definitions, but to also understand the reasoning behind different concepts.

As I indicated, I have a B.A.in Philosophy and later studies in Art. Later, in 1975, I decided to return to obtain a DMD at BU. After that I joined the Army and served as an Army dentist. Due to events in my life following my brief sojourn in the Army, I traveled abroad to India and Asia. Upon returning, I continued to study, but this time in more spiritual matters. I would have to say that during my internship my teaching style was visual and audible teaching. I would make PowerPoint presentations, explain them, and work through them with my students. When tutoring math I would take my student step by step through example problems and then allow them to complete their own work under my supervision.
I graduated from FSU in December 2008. I have Certification in Social Studies grades 6-12. I completed my internship in a 6th grade geography class. I have also tutored in elementary math. I feel comfortable in most subjects up to 8th grade.
