For art, I give direction, let students paint or do art however they want, then I help if needed. I give them pointers and tips for making their pieces better. Art is really how the artist sees it and what they like in the long run. In Sign language, I teach them songs to sign too from the radio and also teach words then becoming sentences. Within a two week period you can learn up to 100 words and a song.
I am a resident artist. I have been an artist for the last 12 years. I have sold my art works in cafes and galleries in cities in: Washington, DC, Chicago, Milwaukee and Virginia. Sign Language is one of my top subjects! I have a B.A. in ASL. I was taught by Deaf professors and have many Deaf friends. I have worked as a Deaf advocate and am aware of not only the language but the culture, history, and social issues in the Deaf community.

I obtained my Associates in ASL then went on to my Bachelors in ASL. I plan to pursue a Masters in Social Work for Deaf and HH from Gallaudet University. I had excelled in my first American Sign Language class in the 10th grade and proceeded to take the progressive courses that my high school offered. I also took a Psychology course and graduated with an Advanced Diploma in 2005. Immediately following graduation, I enrolled at Germanna Community College and became certified in American Sign Language in 2009 and in 2010, became certified as a Paraprofessional Counselor.
