I've been tutoring since high schools in a wide range of subjects, such as latin, algebra II, and biology. The skills you use to teach yourself the material can be directly applied to someone else, especially when you find something does not click at first. In college I don't tutor professionally because of time constraints, but I help other students understand problems they may be having difficulty with. My style of tutoring is creative flexibility. I assess the student's learning style and try to adapt to that, using different senses (kinetic, aural, oral) to trigger best responses. However, this is layered over a basic multi-part structure suited to the subject.
