My comments on tutoring Algebra : I have been teaching for over ten years in a college classroom environment. I last taught class in July of 2015

I have been teaching in a classroom environment for ten years at the Associate, Bachelor and Master's levels. I have tutored for over fifteen years. A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently an instructional aide in a special needs classroom and work with elementary and middle school students. I have also had experience in school, both middle school and high school, as a tutor. The subjects that I have the most experience with are history, social sciences and English ranging elementary through college levels. Learning can be fun!!

When tutoring, I strive to make lessons engaging, effective and enjoyable. Specifically, I tailor lessons according to an individual student's needs and involve students in a dialogue by asking questions that provoke thought, conversation, and perhaps humor. Because facts and figures are easily looked up in the information age, I place particular emphasis on thinking and on "learning how to learn".
