Upon graduation from West Virginia University I received a BS degree in Forensic and Investigative Science with an emphasis in Chemistry and Examination. The emphasis means that I have chemistry qualifications required to perform analysis in a lab. I have taken everything from Chemistry in high school to several courses beyond Organic I and II. I was a member of the NHS and had the responsibility of tutoring students in high school level math, chemistry, and biology. During my internship with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, I aided in teaching courses to a youth group centered around Forensics. I enjoy working with children and young adults. I attempt to find the methods/means by which the student learns best. My initial objective is to ascertain the student’s learning goals. Then I familiarize myself with the material with which the student is currently working, so as to develop a successful learning approach. This is an ongoing process as the student progresses.
