I have been teaching students for the past twelve years. I taught in the field of Special Education with students in grades 1-5 for eight years. I received my Masters Degree in reading and ESL and now I teach ESL to students in 1st and 2nd grades. I also tutor students of all grades at Sylvan Learning Center in the areas of reading, writing, and math. I have also tutored students at Cardinal Stritch University in reading.

I'm profound deaf and am fluent ASL (American Sign Language). I have taught ASL with 3rd-6th graders at Travis Elementary school for a few months. It was a rewarding experience and kids loved me. Certified Teacher Looking To Help Others As A Tutor

I prefer to have materials prepared prior to any tutoring session so communication ahead of time will be essential. If I have an idea of what is expected of me then I am able to help modify the session to fit the learner. I like to use both direct teach as well as discussion to help guide the tutoring session.

I have taught elementary students for 27 years. I have taught 2nd-4th grades. I have done graduate work in reading and have obtained a reading minor. I have experience teaching students with many different reading processing difficulties. Both in my classroom and in my own tutoring business. I have helped many students become better reader.
