I have worked in two Arkansas public schools in the area of Special Education for the last 20 years. For over half of my career I have been employed as a special education designee/ consultant. I have also completed the Barton Reading and Spelling System training and work with several students. I am in love with how fast this system works to close gaps. I currently am employed as a special education designee where I tutor a few students in Barton, teach and supervise the special education teachers and work on due process compliance. I have three children of my own with sensory, attention, hyperactivity and learning problems. I understand how hard it is on both the children and the parents when there is no clear path to success.

I was assigned to students whose parents spoke little or no English and were unable to help with homework. I helped students practice for spelling tests and improve their reading skills.
