Teaching, in my opinion, is a matter of patience. Each child can learn a skill, though the amount of time it takes to learn that skill may vary from child to child. Some children simply need a few more extra hours per week to pick up the essential skills they will need to be successful in life. Education is so very, very important. As a high school student, I excelled at my schoolwork. I was retained as a tutor for middle school students in math and science subjects. When I entered college, my major in engineering has required that I take a lot of upper level math and science courses. These rigorous courses have strengthened my math and science skills. I am very well versed from algebra all the way to Calculus two.
I love helping people. I feel that a student can always teach a student better than a teacher. Their teaching style is a lot forgiving and the student is less intimidated knowing that someone else has been where he/she is currently.
