First and foremost, I understand that no two children learn the same. I believe many children struggle in a learning environment simply because they are not comfortable with it. I excel at personal communication, and make it my first goal to find out how the student is going to learn the best. Whether it requires dancing, music, pictures, whatever it takes, once a student is comfortable they are far more likely to absorb information. This holds true for any age. I want the student to understand that they are capable of learning anything, they just may not have had the right opportunity to yet. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is a simple one: I use kindness with firmness and always attach a fun and tactile activity to make the learning memorable. My own learning style is more visual and hands-on, but I know that some children can learn by repetition and memorization, and if that's what works, then I'll adjust to fit that particular child's needs. I also use a reward system when agreed upon by the parent for when the child reaches small goals. I believe baby steps are what build confidence.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned a BS in Chemistry and a minor in Math. I am currently working as a chemist, so I have kept up with all the new studies that are taking place right now. I have tutored all through High School, College and thereafter. I have a real passion for learning math, all sciences, and history.
