Enrolled in GED classes in late January 2011 and completed the courses within a week and took my GED 2 weeks later and passed in all fields with high scores or exceeding scores. Im 17 but willing to work hard and do everything I can to make sure the student passes and even exceeds on their GED. First I write down the rules for students to use as a guide to solve problems. I believe the old saying "repetition is the father of learning" is very true. As a student in college, I had a professor who would walk into the class room, and begin writing example after example. I have adopted that approach because it helps students become familiar and establish a routine to problem solving. Then I solve some more similar problems while explaining the rules in each step. Finally after solving many problems of my own, the students solve problems from the text book. I also provide references to material that can help advance the student’s knowledge. As a student, I was gifted in math. I went through school rarely scoring anything lower than a 95 in math courses. I routinely tested in the 99 percentile on standardized test, and as a 6th grader test showed I was already on the 11th grade level

As an instructional assistant for kindergarden I was responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with daily instrucion and activities. I provided individual instruction when needed and assisted in developing behavior modificaion plans. I enjoy working with elementary aged children. I am a firm believer that the best way to learn varies from subject to subject. When I taught math my view was that the best way to teach was to break everything down into a step by step process and have the students memorize the process.
