In high school, I was frequently the one that people came to for help. It was then that I realized I was extremely good at teaching. My senior year, I spent all day helping four different math teachers, one of which was frequently absent. In order to keep her class from falling behind, she had me make notes and go over practice problems with her classes. I spent quite a bit of my free time working on notes and worksheets, and giving step by step instructions to other children. I spend much of time making the student understand that it is okay to feel behind in a subject and that the student should believe in himself. This belief is built on continued practice on fundamentals that I watch them go through but only ask questions when I see them going astray. Everyone needs to learn the material for his or herself. Summer Math Tutor

I have tutored on a college level up to Calculus II in my campus tutoring center. I have completed two National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates in math and biology. In addition, my minor is education and I have completed two courses, which require me to teach a math lesson to children in elementary school. I received great reviews from my teacher.
