It was my job to try to "trick" the scales before they could become available for commercial use. I moved back home to Coshocton when I got married. The first thing that I like to do as a teacher is tell my students why I chose my profession. I think a little insight as to who I am, lets my students know how passionate I am about my job. I graduated from college with certification to teach grades 1-12. Do to the job market at that time, I was unable to get a full time teaching job. I substituted and then tutored for 2 years. I then worked various jobs working with the public. Although much of work experience is not in the teaching field, I have worked with people in many ways to reach their full potential and can relate to them on a level that they will comprehend.

I have enjoyed teaching tennis classes and do so mainly by explanation and examples. I show an example of the process completely through and then break down the process into parts, showing each part in slow motion and then once the pieces are grasped by the student, blend them back into one smooth motion. An absolute staple of learning, in my opinion, is frequent reading for pleasure – whether it’s fiction, non-fiction, novels or comic books. I am patient and love to teach, even reluctant learners. I remember what it was like to not want to sit around and do schoolwork, so I don't expect children to be eager to do it.
