I love working with children, and feel that I can relate to them because I struggled in my early school years. I feel it's important to identify each child's learning style, and use that knowledge to help them discover the potential that they each hold. A Little Bit About Me...

While attaining my genetics degree at Ohio State, I worked at the OSU Chimpanzee Center. After graduating, I started working for the Department of Agriculture in the Weights and Measures division. It was my job to try to "trick" the scales before they could become available for commercial use. I moved back home to Coshocton when I got married. I quickly found a job teaching adults within our county's GED program. I easily became the math and science "guru" with my background and began getting my Masters in Education from Muskingum University. I have enjoyed teaching tennis classes and do so mainly by explanation and examples. I show an example of the process completely through and then break down the process into parts, showing each part in slow motion and then once the pieces are grasped by the student, blend them back into one smooth motion. Throughout college I volunteered to educate school age children about egg/chick development in schools around Columbus. My first job out of college was to educate children and adults in high need areas about food science and nutrition. I then worked at a few different food science jobs while taking classes part time toward a masters in education and volunteering to tutor adults.
