In public schools, I have taught all grades 7-12. I have taught high school physics, high school chemistry, high school biology, 7th grade science. I received a minor in chemistry that required me to also take the calculus series in high school. I have also taken some higher levels of math in college such as Differential Equations. I have also taught all levels of band from beginners to high school. I perform in two different groups. I enjoy playing jazz the most. I have a background in psychology that qualifies me to function as a counselor in public schools.
I am often described as laid back. I focus on the key components of learning and students are surprised when they understand more than they thought that they did. With music, I enjoy beginners equally as well as more accomplished students. I also enjoy a good joke now and then.

Being a recent graduate of the University of Portland with a degree in International Business and Finance, I have already had the opportunity to use my skills by working in Financial Services in London. During my four years of study at the University of Portland, I spent two semesters in Salzburg, Austria and one semester in Perth, Australia. A Little Bit About Me...

I have had opportunities to teach in many different settings -ranging from college labs and middle school classrooms to special education and health care settings. Through these experiences it became clear to me that not all people learn in the same way. This said, I believe that there are some general approaches to which all respond well.
