Teaching and working with children is something that I truly love to do. Everyone has a different learning style. Seeing the look of understanding and comprehension cross a child's face is one of the most rewarding experiences a person can ever have. A Little Bit About Me...

I hold a BA in English from Saint Olaf College and studied a variety of subjects during my time in the Liberal Arts program. I have worked with many college graduates helping them prepare for the GRE in both the English and Math sections, as well as assisting high school students in preparing for their SATs and ACTs. I have also worked with younger students helping them learn beginner level French as I studied French, English and math through college. Since each person has his or her own way of learning, I like to be creative with teaching in order to find a style that best suits the student's needs. Along with traditional teaching methods, such as worksheets and practice sheets, I like to also add a variety of activities (roleplaying, games) that keep the lesson interesting as well as encourage the student to think about the topic from a different angle, perhaps making it easier for them to understand the topic.
