I've was a univ. lab tech. and helped students understand proper lab procedure and successfully complete of lab exercises. I have taught field methodology and stats analysis to UW students. I’ve trained volunteers of all ages and backgrounds in biological studies and proper equipment etiquette. Working with children has always been somewhat natural to me, probably due to the fact I spent so many of my summers teaching, playing, and caring for them. I was a camp counselor for five summers and my primary duty was the classroom. I was in charge of arts and crafts and teaching lessons/themes of the week. The children I worked with were ages three through eight, and two of the children were autistic. Constructive criticism and co-operative learning learning are very important to me. I feel that visual and kinesthetic teaching methods are the most successful. I am very patient and laid back, but at the same time I will not let any one fall behind and I am determined to find success in every student.
